Auditório Vergílio Pinto de AndradeThe 8th Iberian Congress on Prions, will be held at Agrarian High School (ESACB) from Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (IPCB) , at the Auditorium A1 (Auditorium Vergílio Pinto de Andrade), located in a herd around 166 ha, four km far away from Castelo Branco center.
It will be available a shuttle service (included in registration fee) between the centre of Castelo Branco and the congress venue in the morning and at the end of each day.

Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco
The Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (IPCB) is a public institution of higher education that initiated its activity in 1980 and which constitutes itself as a benchmark of confidence in the quality of high level of citizens, in the production and dissemination of knowledge, as well as the cultural, artistic, technological and scientific formation of its students in an international framework of reference.

Castelo Branco
Castelo Branco is one of the longest counties in the country (1,440 km2) and the largest of the 100 municipalities in the Centro region. Integrated in the Intermunicipal Community of Beira Baixa, it is a municipality whose city has gained prominence from the point of view of population concentration. It is assumed as an administrative and economic hub of undeniable attractiveness for Beira Interior, also by virtue of its geographic centrality. The mountains of Gardunha and Moradal, respectively, to the north and west, the Tejo International Natural Park to the south, and Spain to the east, mark the landscape and demarcate the Council that, given the proximity to the border, emerges as a link to Europe.
The main accessibilities are the A23 (Beira Interior Motorway) - which crosses the districts of Guarda, Castelo Branco, Portalegre and Santarém, linking Torres Novas (A1) to Guarda (A25), the IP2 (main itinerary of the Interior) and the IC8, favoring the connection to Coimbra.
