Welcome to the official website of the 9th Meeting of the IOBC-WPRS working group “INTEGRATED PROTECTION IN OAK FORESTS”.

The meeting will be held at INIAV - Instituto Nacional de Investigação Agrária, I.P. (National Institute of Agrarian and Veterinary Research), in OEIRAS, PORTUGAL, from 7th to 11th October 2019.

Scientists and professionals from the public and private sectors, as well as graduate and post-graduate students are invited to attend this meeting that will deal with integrated protection in oak forests.

The main topics covered at this event are:

  • Oak decline factors and plant resistance;
  • Pathogenic fungi biology, impact and control methods;
  • Pests biology, impact and control methods;
  • Biodiversity and conservation of oak forests;
  • Oak forest management.

We hope that participants will have an intense week of work, while at the same time engaging and committing to the experience by becoming spokespersons for this initiative and encouraging others to come on board.

The overarching aim of this meeting is to connect researchers throughout the Mediterranean region, to update, share and transfer state-of-the art knowledge, to identify strategic research needs and partnership opportunities as well as to network and analyze the current state of oak forests.
